Donatello Aka Iron Turtle Custom Action Figure

Hello fellow realmers! This is my first entry in a set of Ninja Turtle/Avenger crossovers. I had the idea in my head for a while now and when I saw another member's Turtle/Lantern crossover I was inspired to give it a shot. I was lucky enough to find a Metalhead before vacation and when I got back I removed all limbs and cracked him open. I sanded down all joints to eliminate any rub and had a bit of a hard time using the metallic paints (it seemed like they wanted to rub off when applying a top coat). I used Tamiya metallic grey with two coats of Model Masters clear red over top, Tamiya chrome silver for the lighter metallics, and 2 coats of Model Masters gold. I made a special blend for Donnie's head because I like the original toy line colors better than the current. I extended the upper legs to give him some heigth and used a pair of Stealth Iron Man upper arms and some sculpt work to articulate the arms. Some more sculpt on the torso and random fodder for the arc reactor and BAM! It was done lol, I really enjoyed making this one and am looking forward to the rest of Avenger line-up.
