One of my all time favorite pieces of video game art is the cover for Double Dragon 2 from the 80's. Not only is it well drawn (and I wish I knew who the artist was), but it really captured that 1980s post-apocalyptic thing that was in back then. So I decided to make figures of that, at least in my own version.
For Jimmy Lee, the red clad, older brother, I wanted a more rock-and-roll, rebel feel to him to reflect a certain origin. The first Double Dragon game I played as a kid was the version made for the NES. In that game, the story was written so that Jimmy was the secret boss of the Warriors gang that Billy had been fighting all along. By the time of the second game, he had reformed and joined Billy to avenge the death of Marian, whom Jimmy rivaled for affection. So I made this version of Jimmy with an homage to a possible gang life.
I made one DD custom so far!Great work!
