A long time ago, McFarlane released three Predator figures from the Alien Vs Predator film. These figures were very inaccurate and fragile, but have become very sought after by fans. I decided to take the liberty of updating my McFarlane Celtic Predator. I repainted his armor by giving it a black wash, then dry brushing it in gunmetal, followed by a dry brush with silver. I painted the eye lenses on the bio a light grey like in the film. I added the scratch / claw marks made by the 'grid' alien across his bio over his eye by using a linoleum cutting knife. I actually cut the marks into the plastic to give it that 3d feel. I used a NECA hand in place of the original left hand, which, looks like its in some kind of weird 'chopping pose.' The new hand is much better and changed the characteristic of the figure. I also removed the horribly large 'chopper' blades, and gave him accurate screen wrist blades, which were much shorter. Finally, I removed the gun arm since Celtic never got his gun in the movie. I didn't touch the skin or netting because McFarlane did a good job on those, as opposed to NECA. Not a lot of mods, but enough to make it a much better piece than originally. The pose was taken after the alien scratches his mask and he jumps up off the ground, ready to duel what will be his final battle...
