TMNT Classic Shredder Custom Action Figure

Custom #:45293
Name:TMNT Classic Shredder
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Creator:grungethemovie
Date Added:December 16, 2012
Base Figure:UFC/WWE
Height:7.50 inches
YOU WRETCHED REPTILES!!

huff, huff... glad i was able to finish this in time...

The Classic Turtles need a Shredder to fight!
My goal was to match the line in scale and style
Playmates went for a different scale then what we are used to, when you see these figures in person, they're massive, and i wanted to have the same feeling with Shredder
So I sculpted everything over a UFC/WWE base figure
Blades made individually in plastic card then sculpted over, one by one, all 36 of them >_<
I gave him a personalized base(cast - no turtle base was harmed)
2 set of hands (fists and holding)
his communicator(so he can talk to krang in dimension x)
and a sword i've had in my fodder for ages, that i always felt was very technodromical, with the handle remade for Shredder to be even more ninja!(i have no idea where it came from, but if i didn't use it now...:)

Thanks for viewing! I hope the style is appreciated by the fans of the original cartoon! :)

ps: April will be posted later, couldn't post her in time for the contest, now i gotta wait for it to be over so i don't blow my secret identity XD

STANJOKER - Monday, December 24, 2012
This is the best Shredder man!! You did a great Figure really Awesome.
Wonder Toys - Monday, December 24, 2012
Sometimes I think some of us should just pull are resources together and make a toy company. I know it's unrealistic, but that would be awesome. You guys are all talented.
AREZ - Monday, December 24, 2012
That right there is PREFECTION BRO!!!
suprasizeme - Monday, December 24, 2012
Congrats on getting the silver. This custom looks like it just jumped out of the old cartoons. It really exemplifies that nostalgia feeling.
toyguru - Sunday, December 23, 2012
I think the best way of complimenting this custom is pointing out how "non custom" it looks. When I see it I think "wow I gotta get to TRU and buy this thing"! It's perfect man.
NeCrollector - Sunday, December 23, 2012
Congrats in the win, grunge! An iconic rendition of the Shredder, beautifully crafted in the Classics style!

This is a custom and it is the best Shredder action figure ever produced. Playmates needs to hire you.
oldmanwinters - Friday, December 21, 2012
I second that motion.
grungethemovie - Saturday, December 22, 2012
thank you

BDCdiesel - Sunday, December 23, 2012
oldmanwinters- Dude, you were responding to comments before the contest was actually over, they all read *HIDDEN* for me, could you read them before today?
oldmanwinters - Monday, December 24, 2012
@BDCdiesel
Well... sort of. I couldn't see anybody's username, of course, but I was curious to see what people were saying. I found out that if you click on "Reply" then the comment comes up just not the username.
Controlspire - Friday, December 21, 2012
Perfect!
Gudi - Wednesday, December 19, 2012
Wow, really nice how you captured the style of the cartoon! Congratz
j-x - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
totally nailed it,...bang on job here.
StrangePlanet - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
That's awesome. I love the style you made this in. All the sculpt is really good and just cause it's simplified don't make it easy. All the details are crisp and presice, and the paints are smooth and pro. the overall look is so spot on and it's just really spectacular work.
lordseshomaru86 - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
villains with blades on their shoulders probably shouldn't throw hostages over said shoulder if they want to keep said hostage, silly Shredder didn't think that one through did he?

But for real, this is beautiful!
oldmanwinters - Friday, December 21, 2012
Never really thought about that before until you mentioned it! I think Shredder only did that to April one or two times in the old cartoon. Usually he designated Rocksteady or Bebop to haul her around.
grungethemovie - Saturday, December 22, 2012
thank you!
all the armors parts are removable
but that would make an awesome comic strip XD
eddiehellman - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
dude - is this for sale???
grungethemovie - Sunday, December 23, 2012
well, if I can cast the parts
Patraw - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
Absolutely flawless rendition of Shredder from the original animation; top marks all the way!
TurtlesinTime - Tuesday, December 18, 2012
Awesome!!! This is definitely the best custom Shredder I have ever seen!!!
grungethemovie - Sunday, December 23, 2012
your toon shredder actually inspired me
Kevlar Palsh - Monday, December 17, 2012
excellent
Turtlebro - Monday, December 17, 2012
This is so great that I don't think Playmates could even do it as well. Excellent!!
PS If you put it on eBay please let me know, I want a chance to bid!!
JackTheBiscuit - Monday, December 17, 2012
Wow! If playmates do a classic Shredder, it better look like yours. Just awesome
Tesio - Monday, December 17, 2012
This is just amazing! Seriously insane how accurate you were able to make it! Great job!
firestar88 - Monday, December 17, 2012
Best Shredder EVER!! That April looks 100% Accurate too
NeCrollector - Monday, December 17, 2012
Wow! You totally captured that CLASSICS look perfectly!
oldmanwinters - Monday, December 17, 2012
Also... totally can't wait to see that custom April too. Even from that angle, she looks spot-on toon accurate and absolutely convincing as a real toy.
grungethemovie - Sunday, December 23, 2012
hehehe, she looks spot-on from that angle XD
oldmanwinters - Monday, December 24, 2012
Well, maybe so.

And I especially appreciate the fact that you included her belt purse/recorder case. Not really sure what that thing is, but it's a cool detail.
Folsomaticustoms - Monday, December 17, 2012
