I think Nightmare and his giant sword call "Soul Edge" are probably one of the most well known Blade in the game community. I think he fit in the theme of the contest perfectly.
This is the alternate costume of Nightmare from Soul Calibur 4. I use a WWE deluxe figure for base body. I also did a lot of sculpting and tried to make it accurate as possible, you can see a picture reference from the game.
