Mysterios Apprentice - Wednesday, November 27, 2013
This is in my top 5 Mysterio customs & the colours are spot on. Need to try and do a mock up future movie version Mysterio. I was thinking about Spocks lava suit from Star Trek 2 as the costume with the dome part similar to the allumunous 90's version. add a cape with metalic green and purple as overall costume colour. Just an idea.

I am the lucky dude who has received this figure . I was unable to see it in person till recently as I was away. Many thanks for this top notch figure , my favourite aspect was the built-in changing colour LED!
StrangePlanet - Wednesday, January 9, 2013
That looks friggin fantastic! And I usually hate the Panther body, but man, you sure did make it look nice. That's one of my fave Mysterios ever, anmd I love that guy.

I just have 2 questions:

1.) What kind of shrooms are you on?

2.) Where can I find them?

And yeah, this is f'ing EPIC.

ole jade jaw - Friday, January 4, 2013
That is uber fantabuolastic! (sorry, just trying to keep with the lingo!) So psyched you took the foam idea and added lights to it. (thereby rendering the first use of such material an insignificant relic of yesterdayness) Spectacular job on this ma man! P.S. wanna return the favor? Send me some of whatever you're on!
dbocustoms - Wednesday, January 9, 2013
thanks man without your foamy inspiration I never would have thunk to do it,andi forgot if you turn the base around it may actually look cooler, like he has a giant cloud behind him that he is floating down from(the guy that received this takes much better pics than I and hopefully can post some pics once he gets to open it,please )
CAb00se - Friday, January 4, 2013

I have been waiting for soooo long for somebody to a really amazing mysterio and this is exacltley how I pictured it in my
mind. The sculpting is seriously outstanding no matter how much you use it comes across just so effective, the paints really
make him pop it looks like a pretty simple but once again extreamley effective paint job, the dome looks so perfect it really
does remind me of that awesome 90s show and the baseis just out of this world!
p.s did you enjoy destroying your first death star?
dbocustoms - Friday, January 4, 2013
wow thank you very much that was very nice of you!the person asked for a 90s mysterio and I tried my best to make one that resembled the character from the show,I hope he likes it as much as you do!and yes destroying the death star was invigorating,I may have even cried a bit,it was pretty keen
NeCrollector - Friday, January 4, 2013

thank you kind sir, your words have made me joyous and giggly(jk) but seriously thanks dude very much appreciated!the pics suck though, hopefully I get a new cam soon so I can take slightly less craptastic pics!
NeCrollector - Friday, January 4, 2013
The more I see this work-of-art, dbo, the more I love it! That dark, looming cloud looks evil and imposing and shall forever haunt my worst nightmares! Genius work, brother!
Mysterio is beautifully painted! Is that cape flexible? If so, what paint did you use so that it wouldn't flake? I'm running into walls with some flexible capes I'm trying to paint
dbocustoms - Sunday, January 6, 2013
thanks!for the cape,it was semi flexable,it was the one that came with the ml-type mysterio, I just use very very light and thin coats(dry brushed) of paint, and the cape has to be about the same color that way I don't use barely any paint, like I didn't paint in the crevices of the cape, which is mainly the part of the cape that flexes when you bend it,so when it is moved hopefully the paint doesn't chip ,whoa.....I just typed a lot
NeCrollector - Sunday, January 6, 2013
Cool, dbo I truly appreciate the tip. Thanks for taking the time to reply, brother.
giusti - Friday, January 4, 2013

scarecrow studios - Friday, January 4, 2013
this is so far beyond awesome my friend. love it.
dbocustoms - Friday, January 4, 2013
thanks mr johnathon crane!
WhiskeytangosCustomShop - Friday, January 4, 2013
That is a really cool Mysterio. Not how I normally picture him, but still awesome.

Might I suggest tinkering with the white balance on your camera, though? The first few pictures seem really yellowed, and I don't think they're really showing off how good the figure looks. The first pic of him on his stand, I would guess, is much closer to how he looks in person?
dbocustoms - Friday, January 4, 2013
thanks dude!yeah its actually a loaner camera, mine took a poo and its the only one I could use,I really, really need a new, good camera asap, thanks for the tips though ill def check the white balance, what do you suggest setiing it on?there is not nearly as much red(and its not nearly as deep a red)as the pic shows)
WhiskeytangosCustomShop - Friday, January 4, 2013
Most cameras have a setting under white balance for "incandescent lighting" which will take a lot of the yellow out. If it doesn't has more manual kind of settings, just screw with it until whites look white.
