''...suffering from near-fatal wounds, I was trying to find my way through darkness, in an endless labyrinth of chambers, holding tight my last serviceable weapons, a double shot-gun with last few shells and an heavy double axe. Cautious as if Death waited for me behind every corner, lost in a silent corridor, I could only hear the fast beating of my heart. Suddenly, a deep roar thrilled my soul: from the other end of the corridor, something like a giant white gorilla or a standing polar bear, 12 feet of height, came out of darkness. Fearful jaws shined in his head, and giant claws armed his limbs; a long whitish gory fur gave him a even more fearful aspect. That view reminded me in all details the description I have been told many years before by an old veteran at the Space Marine Training School. But soon I also discovered another abominable detail: he could generate a powerful lighting, combining the upper limbs upon his head. A sudden flash and a swish, that luckily just missed me... Oh,my I got to find a good cover immediately, if I didn't want to get grilled...''
that's just for a little introduction to the atmosphere of this game.
Well, now the recipe: a base from a monkey or such (I found for few chips a 'space monkey' figure) some white or ecru acrylic fur, a little bit of greenstuff-work for jaws and claws. A sharp x-acto knife for some esthetic surgery, and Vallejo colors for the makeup.

Here you can see the abominable beast saying 'cheese' (1), playing with lightnings (2), and with his next dinner(3). Enjoy!!!

I think it's your personal responsibility to go to the fair and hide this amongst the cotton candy. It'll either make or ruin someones day, depending on the person. Also, excellent work!

I generally don't like using cloth or fuzzy material, but this works really well. Everything is in scale and the coloring is perfect.

Awesome Shambler; definitely my absolute favorite out of all the entries for this challenge! It's even better than Resaurus' unreleased version in my opinion. I really dig your fuzzy interpretation - personally, I've always considered them to have white skin, rather than fur, but I know many Quake fans who also consider them to be shaggy in appearance, so you're certainly not alone.
