This was a classic movie that could definitely use a remake with up to date, modern CGI effects.
The figure was made from probably one of the best(and most used)base figures. It would've been simpler to just sculpt the head into a helmet, but then thought, it'd be way cooler to make the helmet removable! Borrowed Kroenen's mask, cut a piece of plastic from a blister package for the fin, and resculpted it into the helmet. Additional sculpt work was done on his hair, the jacket and pants as well. For the jet-pack, took two chunks of plastic of roughly equal size, glued it together and added some minor sculpting around it to create the details. Sanded it down, and both helmet/jet-pack were painted bronze. A coat of clear nail polish was applied to protect the paint and give it a metallic sheen. The holster, attached to the leg, was from a Ghost figure and found the pistol by luck!
Thanks for checking this out!
