Hulk Custom Action Figure

Custom #:46312
Name:Hulk
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:raybot
Date Added:January 21, 2013
Base Figure:Avengers Movie Hulk
Height:8.00 inches
I liked the build of the Avengers movie Hulk quite a bit, and the body definitely was cut a lot more like he is in the comics than the film. Finally got around to replacing the head on this guy with a comic-based head, then repainting him. To get the head to fit the neck I ended up sculpting a new neck then making a nice ball-swivel joint so his head can move in every direction, rather than the restrictive joint that it came with. Cut his feet so the ankles bend forward a bit more too, which really helps with standing poses. Came together really nicely and it's always a blast to paint up a good Hulk.

Hulk looks amazing. Love the choice for the head and the paints are unparallelled.

Thanks! Thing really did turn out pretty statuesque. I was surprised it came out as clean as it did! Didn't touch masking tape on this guy and I'm usually a stickler for the stuff.

Sweet! I might half to try doing one of these myself since my collection lacks a classic hulk!

I'm sure it'll look great!

I like it!!! Your extraordinary painting brought out the best in that base by highlighting the muscles. The head fits so well because of your neck mods. Awesome work raybot

Thanks as always! He does pop quite a bit next to the standard factory movie Hulk.

You've done it again, brother! A most beautifully painted Hulk!

Hulk's one of those characters that's always fun to paint. He's been just about every shade of green so it's tough to go wrong and you can go for some really vibrant colors without him seeming too garish. Think I finally got a mix of greens on a Hulk I'm just 100% happy with this time.

AwesomE! love the colors!

daredevil96's Sidekick Studio - Monday, January 21, 2013
Yeah, were did the head come from? Great work!

Looks like grey hulk from the fing fang foom series.
raybot - Thursday, January 24, 2013
Thanks! As others said it was from a Fin Fang Foom wave Savage Grey Hulk. Thing didn't fit at all! But glad it forced me into making a new neck joint since he's got great range of motion now. One of my peeves was the neck on the movie Hulk being so bad when the rest of the figure was awesome.

That is the perfect comic book HULK... INCREDIBLE!!!

Yea, really like the base on this guy. He's got just the right amount of bulk and height, plus the articulation all works pretty well.
