Ares is one of the coolest figures in this collection in my opinion...
Here, I just wanted to repaint him like a roman warrior. Of course I prefer the original one because I really like his color scheme, but I also liked the final result of my custom.

Just to be a jerk, Ares isn't Roman, he's greek. =)

The red cape is very Spartan, so this is actually a better fit than his blue/black scheme. I like it a lot!

This turned out great. I, too, liked the original blue colour. But, a more realistic colouring looks even better. Who ever saw a Roman wearing blue armour, anyway...?

I'd love to see a version with a gold chestplate.
