Joe Ledger was an astronaut working for NASA when he found the wrecked ship of an alien Skrull. When Joe saved the Skrull's life, he was awarded with the Power Prism, an energy synthesizer the Skrulls had created. Using the Power Prism, he became the superhero Doctor Spectrum. Soon, he became one of the founding members of the Super hero team the Squadron Supreme.

This is the unmasked version of the original character.
