I use the cheaper paints and one suggestion I would give when painting yellow is to cover darker areas such as red or black with a coat of white first and for the lower arms/legs I would have went with Namor legs since they are flesh colored you won't have to add as many coats of yellow when painting.

Good start. Remember to wash the figures with dish soap and an old toothbrush before painting. They're covered with oil so they'll pop out of the molds in the factory. If the paint won't stick, try using a gel medium you can buy in an art store. (It's name is "medium", which is confusing.) And always buy quality paints. Cheap paints don't cover so waste your time.
