I was so disappointed with the MU Beast that came out, and I didn't want to pay so much for the SHS Beast so I made my own. Based off of the 90's comics and the X-Men cartoon I realized that Beast should of been a lot bigger. Recipie: Head- MU Skaar head w/ sculpt Upper & Lower Toros- MU Thanos Upper Arms- MU Thanos Lower Arms- Avengers 3Pk 1st App. Hulk Hands- Skaar hands w/ sculpted claws and articulated hands to open and close Belt- Modified Thanos skirt piece Legs- 1st App. Hulk Feet- 1st App. Hulk w/ sculpted claws w/ added articulation As far as his fur goes, I used a dremel tool to give it that fur like texture all over his body. Applied a couple of washes of black and a customized blue, sealed it and was done.

Well, I'd show you a pict, but I can't link the pics, so....all you have to do is search google for dremel aluminum oxide bit and its the cone shaped one with a flat top. You can find it at walmart or anyplace that sells dremels or rotory tools

For the fur texture I first started to use the very small engraver bit,but then I realized it was going too deep into the plastic, then I tried the aluminum oxide grinding stone, the brown cone shaped one with the flat top.that worked best at an angle using the flat top edge for your fur grooves. I didn't sand it down after because then I wouldn't get that fur texture. Then I did that every where on the body, sometimes up and down or diagonally

Really like the look of Beast especially the fur job. What dremel tool to add the fur? I'm looking to add fur texture to some sanded down parts and was wondering.

this is a great custom. Youre right about that SHS Beast - the proportion and head sculpt doesn't remind me of the 90's Cartoon beast at all - which is the Beast we all love and know IMO

I never thought about glasses or a book, but now that you mention it I could make him a white lab coat as well. To be honest I was kinda iffy about making beast in the first place. But because of you comments, that reaffirms my decision to make it.
