So, as much as I LOVE the Battlestar Galactica line by Diamondselect- and as detailed as their Cylon centurions are- I just felt like they fell short on their paintjobs. Looking at the prototype pictures on their site, the centurion released was very dark grey and missing a lot of it's black trim. Then when I purchased the battledamaged 2-pack, it looked like the only thing they were fighting was mud.
So with the battledamaged cylon, I did a full repaint with chrome spray paint, and then dry brushed the black trim. I then went in with a glossy black for the "oil" effect, gave the famous red eye, and dry brushed some bullet holes/damaged spots. I also felt he could be a little more "battledamaged" so ripped off one arm and burned the end for effect.
For the regular centurion I followed the same steps with the chrome spraypaint, but then used the gloss black for all the trimming. i also noticed that the figures eye lens was entirely too small, so made that wider before putting the red eye in. I love the way they came out, and plan on repainting all of my centurions in chrome silver.
