Since I posted an older custom (Bishop) using this same base figure, I thought I'd skip ahead chronologically to one of my most recent customs, CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! (In his Classic outfit). This was a major labor of Love, as all of his scaling had to be sculpted. It was hard to narrow down to just six pics of him. There are more on my website daveyblazecustoms as well as other more recent customs.
I removed large chains from the wrists of the base fig., removed knee guards, and a strap that was sculpted into the original chest. Filleds in deep scars that the original figure had, as it wouldn't make sense for Captain A. to have them. His Winged Mask, Scales, Boots, Belt, and Stars on his chest and back are all sculpted. I went for a more modern design on for the mask because I thought it would look cool. I attached a Gun Holster to the inside of his shield for easy access while fighting the Axis! He can still wear the shield on his back (as in the Title pic) and on his arm while the gun is Holstered. His Gun has a small star painted on the handle, but it's hard to see in pics. The Shield was from a Marvle Legends Captain America and I was lucky enough to find it loose at a local comic shop, but I removed the center, wrist grabby thing to make room for the Holster. Gave him a Custom paint job and finished him with a blend of glossy and matte acrylic sealers, and here you have him, Steve Rogers, the Original...CAPTAIN AMERICA!!!
