Inspired by Uncanny X-Men #281, I've always wanted to make this villainous band of cyborgs. As my first attempt at customizing I probably shouldn't have tackled the whole group at the same time, but I have enjoyed it.
With cost as a factor, I chose to go with Lanard's "The Corps" action figures (Available at any WalMart/DollarGeneral). Sculpey for the helmet and forearms, using a small flat head screwdriver for details. I carved and added some wiring to the forearms to make him more "robotic" looking.
The hardest part was working with Sculpey for the first time (Nervous!), but I really am pleased with it. The craziest part was in the beginning, I wasn't sure what size of wiring I would need so I grabbed whatever I came across. Not really needing much, I now have an insane amount of different size and color wiring at home! :-P
Complete repaint and dry brush technique (first time figure painting too) using Hobby Lobby water-based paints. Then clear coat Matte-finish spray paint to protect and give it a more "new figure look".
