For my first custom I wanted to try my hand at something I'd never seen before. There are a lot of custom LJN style Thundercats figures out there, but I've never come across one for the generic reptilian soldier. The mutants in the show all tended to look the same. All of the Monkians looked like the leader Monkian, the same for Jackalman. The reptilians led by Slithe where however a different design to their leader, which is what I have attempted to capture here. There were several different clothing designs and colour variations, so I have chosen the elements that most appealed to me and combined them in my custom. My main goal was to create a figure that would fit in with the rest of the existing LJN line and look like a figure that could have been produced in the 80's.

I'm amazed you made the reptilian without using Slithe parts at all. It looks great and uniquely different from him. I don't know why LJN didn't produce this figure as it has army-builder potential. There was a smaller non posable figure of the reptilian in their minis line which makes it even odder than he didn't get a proper figure.
