Although Spider-Man is a classic character normally portrayed with a certain look, I wanted an adult Spidey on roids without the Spider-Hulk look so I chose a Masters of the Universe Classics The Mighty Spector as my base, added Demo-Man shins, and Stratos sock feet. Kept his arms MOTUC look with the wristband and liked that the other arm actually looks like a modified web-slinger. Sanded down the joints to limit paint rub and repainted Frankenspidey with Testors base gloss red, gloss blue, and gloss black. Wasn't really going for major details, like the black webs on Spider-Man's classic suit, because I suck at fine details, but I did want him in classic Spidey colors because this will be handed over to my 4yr old son for certain destruction so I needed something that can be repainted on the fly. Satisfied with the look and if he gets trashed by the kid, I'll give him a plastic samurai sword and re-imagine him as a ninja or Deadpool. I wanted a MOTUC figure with no armor and boots look and Spidey was a perfect fit for my son who is just starting to get into superheroes and later MOTUC.
