First off, I can't believe nobody's every made The Fury before and uploaded him to this site. He's Alan Moore's riff on Spider-Man / Daredevil type characters. His costume and disk weapons make for a very entertaining super-hero, and Union Jack was a great base for him, because he has plenty of articulation. Beyond repainting the figure, making eyes out of Fixit putty and disks out of pennies and putty were the other steps. Deciding exactly how to make The Fury's costume look was a bit difficult. Since the 1963 series was a spoof on Marvel's comics from that era, it is hard to tell if the artist intentionally or unintentionally included inconsistencies, such the shape and color of his eyes (they are white in some panels, yellow in others). Also, depending on the page the red design on his front did (or didn't) carry over to his back. It was a lot of fun to make this figure, and oddly enough, I was going to make him even before this contest was posted-- it was just lucky for me that nobody'd done him before. Thanks for looking-- any comments are appreciated!

Yeah, zach, the base figure has a strange neck, no human has a neck that sticks out like Union Jack's figure. It looks better from some angles than others. Thanks for the comments!

This guy looks fantastic! If I had one complaint though, it would be the neck. It looks a bit bulgy. But who am I to complain, I've never submitted a custom!
