Ok before I begin I have to applaud Realmer "Banner/Hulk" for his inspired use of the Duke Nukem body for a movie style Bane. His figure inspired this one.

I was not going for movie accuracy with this figure, I merely wanted the "feel" of the Nolan-verse Bane with the physical presence of a comic book Bane. I display this figure with my Arkham City figures.

Here's the recipe:
Body/arms: NECA Duke Nukem
Waist/legs: Diamond Select Gunner Jensen Expendables 2
Hands: NECA Chris Redfield
Head/belt/boots: Mattel Movie Masters Bane

I painted nothing on this figure except the shirt and the belt. I may go back to touch up the mask some time in the future and I may try out some comic book Bane hands, but for now I'm quite pleased with the result. It's become one of my favorite figures.

Look forward to you comments.

Wow, this is ace. Never thought about the Duke Nukem body this way. Its a perfect fit! Very slick work

Thank you I appreciate the compliment. I got the idea for the Duke Nukem body from fellow Realmer Banner/Hulk and his version of Bane from the movie. I just decorated mine a little differently to his.

Thanks for mentioning mine AvengerKiller, but I think yours is better...it's the perfect movie style Bane.

just found the same Expendibles figures at my local ToysRus and did the same thing to my own Duke Nuke 'Em-Bane! Looks great! It adds an extra 1/2 inch to hom and makes him stand taller than most of my other figures

I'm glad my custom worked for you Latinlad. That's the fun of customizing, you can see ideas you like from other customizers and come up with your own versions. I needed more height on my Bane as well and I needed more of a para-military vibe than the biker style pants and boots of the Duke Nukem. Hopefully we can see your Bane up on the realm soon.

Wow! At last your Bane makes his debut on the realm and it is AWESOME! I especially like your use of Expendables parts for his legs, really nice! & I appreciate that you mentioned my Bane too. Welcome to the realm!

Thanks Banner. Believe it or not the Expendables waist is a perfect fit and retains the swivel hips. All I did was use the old hair dryer "heat and pop" method on both bodies. And again thank you for the inspiration.
