While digging through my collection I came across my Spiderman 2099 and thought a 2099 character would be cool to make. I wasn't sure who until I was going through a Micros site and saw various looks for Daredevil. One of which I thought looked awesome and realized it was labled 2099. So, I looked it up and sure enough, this dark costume was worn by Daredevil 2099 in 1996. Back when it was Eric Nelson, grandson of Foggy Nelson. In the 2004 Marvel Knights 2099 reboot of many characters his look and history were changed. I absolutely love the backstory of the reboot, but prefer the look and energy baton of the original. Making the figure wasn't too problematic. Used the Nighthawk body instead of Daredevil so the darker base would help reduce rub. Started with black, but heard the costume is actually a dark grey, and so I switched to that. Great choice too, because I think it looks a lot better in that shade. Sculpted over the mouth, applied the letters to his chest, but forgot to make the eyes red. Went with white instead and didn't notice until I was editting and uploading pictures. Took a lot more of him too. Even some with the MU released Daredevil. Really like how they came out. If you want to check them out look me up on Facebook under Dravenheart Designs.
Nice clean paints!
