Another one for my Flash Rogues, it's Rainbow Raider!!! I filled in the gap on Cyclops' visor, primed it black, then painstakingly hand painted all the stripes, my masking tape was too big for these stripes, so I had no choice. I was trying to make him look tough in spite of his silly get-up and I think it worked.

This is ace. Seriously speaking, I think this guy would be a cool rep for the gay community. Bought flippin time we had more gay superheroes!

The paint looks perfect Xysma...as does the entire custom. BTW, for future detail work that might need taping, try 3M fine line masking tape...usually sold at Automotive Parts supply stores. It comes in regular and blue vinyl, in multiple widths. I used it for years in car refinishing, when custom stripes/bands or other details needed to be painted in different colors.

Thanks for the tip, I knew of it's existence, but all I can ever find is the Tamiya tape at the hobby store, I'll have to check the auto parts place.

I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking about how painstaking those stripes were. Great job!!!

It took me awhile to work up to it, I was dreading it so much, but it turned out to be pretty easy, I think I watched (listened to) about 3 episodes of JLU, so that's a little more than an hour, not as bad as I feared.

I'm not touching that one! Although the thought did cross my mind many times as I was painting him.

Very sharp. Not sure about tough or trying-to-look-tough, but the first punch will decide it.
Xysma Warhorse - Friday, April 12, 2013
Come on, he looks tough, right? A little? Like a sparkly, tough, rainbow.

Great job your paint job leaves me speechless
Xysma Warhorse - Friday, April 12, 2013
Thanks Python6! I appreciate it, this was one of those times I was in "the zone." I never really messed up, it was amazing!! I just knew I'd have to go back and touch up everything, but luckily I didn't!

Man, those paints are amazing..The character should get a new tailor, though. One of the goofiest outfits I´ve ever seen, lol. but I guess that´s what makes him cool too. I´m still amazed by how clean the lines came. Talk about steady hands, and talent, of course!
Xysma Warhorse - Friday, April 12, 2013
Thanks Ringo! It really is a ridiculous outfit, Flash has the weirdest villains, but they are really fun to make!
