Haven't added any characters to my First Class collection in a while, and I'm very happy to bring you Emma Frost aka the White Queen, as seen in the movie X-Men First Class.
This was actually my favorite costume of hers in the movie, and I was very lucky to come across the ML Mystique, as I found it to be the perfect base.
RECIPE- So first I cut off the belt that came with the figure and molded a new one. Then I remove the head and painted the clothing in a high-gloss enamel white. Once that was dry, I added the silver to her belt buckle and zippers.
For her skin I used a matte flesh tone (couple of coats to cover that blue). Then repainted her face using the tip of a safety pin. Her hair was painted a mustard color first, then I dry-brushed with a light yellow/tan/white mix, and then a third (very light) dry brush of white with a touch of yellow.
I added a before and after shot, as well as a "fun diamond form" shot.
All in all, I'm VERY happy with the way she turned out--- think I might even replace the Hasbro Emma on my shelf with this one.
Thanks for looking and commenting guys!

I love this recipe! So simple, but just perfect! The hairstyle especially makes it, almost identical to January's actual style in the film. Nice!

January Jones was so unbelievably stiff as Emma Frost, but you've captured the movie look really well with this custom! I actually really liked the outfits and the retro cool of the look that X-Men First Class had.
Blain3 - Friday, April 26, 2013
I really liked the look of the movie as well
Spensieri - Friday, April 26, 2013
This is awesome. Too bad January Jones is such a horrible actress.
Blain3 - Friday, April 26, 2013
Yeah/ I think this figure did a better job than she did, lol
Spensieri - Friday, April 26, 2013
Yeah, just standing there motionless the figure is doing a better acting job.
Blain3 - Friday, April 26, 2013
Hahahahaha! Best comment. Ever.
