I took another superman an scored the abdomen right below the emblem. I then heated up the lower torso so I could round it off to fit back inside the now hollowed upper torso. I then placed a button magnet in the top torso and a metal ball bearing in the lower torso. Then with much easier access I added the cape and BAM!!! Phase 1 to correct our mis articulated Super Hero. While I added range there's still some work that could be done to make it more controllable.

All the same tricks have been used on the body itself. The hips have been cut back to allow deeper movement of the legs. The knees akles and elbows have been bored out for a tighter close and the neck has been deepened for a better head tilt for flying.

I did experiment with a different head for a second but opted for the original for most shots.

wait how did you cut the top part off
GeekSummit - Thursday, May 9, 2013
I used an exacto to score the surface all the way around until I could actually slice through. *There are some inner parts that you will not be able to score through so I used my dremmel and one of the flat circular blades to finish cutting the back straight across. By the time all that cutting is done you can basically just pop it apart and return to surgery.

FANTASTIC! I really like the way you used a magnet and ball bearing for the mid-torso swivel.

Thanks. Still needs perfecting. I've moved on to now a column of pill sized magnets. I get a lot more stable rotation. But now I need to figure out arching the back more.
