I want to try customising Transformers however, anything I do will be pityful compared to this!

Sick man! I've seen a concept image of a tumbler transformer and thought it would be a cool figure. You did an amazing job
phantro - Thursday, July 18, 2013
I have seen some images online as well, even talked to one of the guys who made one over at deviant art, he said he started working on it but decided to make one that did not transform in the end. I really like his and decided to try making one that does actually transform and fits figures inside.

Great work man! you have a great ability to put the pieces together and unite two worlds incredible as Batman and Transformers, I like it, I'll take two!

Thank you, I have a few others also here on figure realm. Those are G.I. Joe/Transformers crossovers, check them out and let me know what you think.

Transformers customs impress the hell out of me, they must take a lot of planning and thought, especially to turn out this good.
phantro - Thursday, July 18, 2013
Thanks, indeed it took quite a bit of planning and conceptual designing before I even started cutting. Also a lot of technical challenges but nothing a little styrene can't solve with trial and error factoring in as well.
Valkyriezero1 - Thursday, July 18, 2013
Beautiful as always, so that's what the process called a re-shell, looks very difficult to do. Many tried converting the tumbler to an actual transforming robot few succeeded. Yours one of the best I've seen, so well done!
phantro - Thursday, July 18, 2013
Thanks man. From what I understand the kit-bashing and re-shell process started back with model aircraft and vehicles. The transformers customizing community adopted them both. Most customs out there are kit bashes, where you Frankenstein parts of several bots to make a new transformer. Then there is re-shelling which would be taking a vehicle and a transformer and making the fuse together into one. Both are very cool ways to go about it and I have seen some really cool creations out there. Thanks again for watching.

Awesome re-shell - I'm always impressed when someone executes one well and this one looks great! My only gripe is - if allied with Baroness, shouldn't it be a 'con?
phantro - Thursday, July 18, 2013
Thank you. Indeed you are right, the baroness is there because I do not own a suitable Batman or Catwoman figure to show the size comparison. I did think the same thing you are and I even made a small picture comic explaining why... Unfortunately This site only allows 6 pictures and no links to other sites. However I do have it posted on Radicons customs board, Hisstank customs forums and on my deviant art page with more pictures of this and all my other customs. Feel free to visit any time or drop me a line. Thanks for viewing.

phantro - Thursday, July 18, 2013
thnak you, I will certainly try. The next one is going to be less intricate than this one but hopefully it will come out alright.
