"This Harlem hottie has a heart of solid gold and buns of steel, but, on the tennis court, this mocha mamma always brings her A-game and her D-cups. She's rough, she's tough, and she's got afro-puffs, let's hear it for the reason I contracted jungle fever: Afrodite!"
- Announcer's (Stephen Colbert) in-game introduction
One of the playable characters (voiced by Sonya Maddox) in Hypnotix/Global Star Software's 2005 Outlaw Tennis Sony Playstation 2 and Microsoft Xbox sports video game. Her moniker is an obvious play on the name of the Greek goddess of love (Afro + Aphrodite = Afrodite). In order to use her, you first need to complete El Suave's Tour Mode to unlock Vinny, and then finish Vinny's Tour Mode to gain access to Afrodite (or, if you're terrible at the game like I am, you can just use the "Cut To The Chase" cheat code to make all the bonus content immediately available.) Afrodite is a character for players that are aggressive on the court, as her maxed-out stats lean towards speed and power at the expense of precision and stamina. My action figure is based on one of the variations of Afrodite's second outfit, specifically the psychedelic short dress (top/bottom #5) and white boots (shoes #5).
