A basic black wash on a newer Jungle Predator with the new hip articulation. I love these figures and the new pigmentation technique that NECA uses to treat their plastics but the end result can be a bright shiny figure with awesome detail and I've always seen just the slightest mis-contrast there.

Here we've taken the standard Predator figure and gone through with a swipe & wipe overhaul to deepen the sculpted details and give the highlights more prominence.

Why thank you... That's all I was going for really. Knock off some of that plasticine shine and take those shadows up a notch.

Thanks,

This is actually a P2 scout pred. I like the mask, but washing a crappy factory job doesn't make the factory job look any better IMO, but good effort.

I'll take what part of that I can as a compliment... ?

Yea, I was just simply saying, their factory paint work is horrible, and the wash just dulls the 'road sign brightness' they used down some. Not your fault they make them look bright and inaccurate. I just finished my entire Lost Tribe repaint set. I used reference photos from the movie, behind the scenes, and images from stan winston studios.

I gotcha. Yeah I just seek to make my own collection palletable by whatever means available when it comes to these guys. I do agree though. The intrinsic color method they use vs their casting methods makes for some give and take when it comes to the final product.

I just find a little black wash can go a long way.

Congrats on the research though. Clearly Predator is your turf.

I'm mainly a DC man but I've got a weakness for NECA's latest.
