Who? I know. Aska has been the bane of my existence for the last few months. She is for a seriously cool dude, James. Aska is a very, super obscure character from the TMNT arcade game. When James approached me to do this commission he said that he didn’t want her to look like the pics you can find on Google images. Rather, he wanted a stripped down version of her so that he could make his own custom cloth clothes for her. I thought “no problem”. James was adamant about using the Chun Lee base, and if you’ve worked with her you know that it’s not the easiest base to work with. But James wanted the thick thighs, and I thank him for the challenge. I really like the way she turned out.

She is Chun Lee from head to toe with sculpted hair, and some work done to her hips and butt. Custom paint job finished her off. Thanks James! Enjoy!

See you in the future!

AC

Thanks so much my friend. Been meaning to ask you, did you sculpt Powdered Toast Man's head all in one sitting? You really hit me with a time machine on that one. I love it.

I sculpted PTM's head in 2 sittings. Firstly, I sculpted the 2 toasts at once. The next day, I sculpted the facial features. I really wanted to sculpt the facial features in a couple of sittings to add better detail, but I only had enough time to rush through completing PTM on the last day. I'm so happy that you loved it!

That's an interesting look for her--"thunder thighs" Chun-li is a rather unconventional choice, as Aska is pretty slim/petite in the game, but, at the end of the day, the customer is always right. She does look incomplete to me without the rest of her clothing, bracers, etc., but, as that's what your client wanted, I can't fault you with their absence.

While she's an okay character, gameplay-wise, it always tweaked me off that Konami just made her up instead of using April O'Neil, like in the Sega Genesis version, or some other actual TMNT persona (okay, technically she was originally going to be Mitsu, from the third TMNT movie, but they changed her into Aska instead).

Yeah, I tried to talk him into a different base figure, and I really wanted to do her full costume, but like you said, it's what the client wants. Still had a good time working on her. Glad someone recognized her.
