I wasn't satisfied with my first Lois Lane custom, mostly because of the scale. So I decided to attempt a second one, inspired by her attire in Man of Steel. I found a Silk Spectre figure loose and thought it would make an ideal base for Lois; it's got a pretty headsculpt and the right kind of shoes. The earrings and her choker were dremelled off. Then, I cut off the dress, saving the skirt portion and removing the rest. Then I sculpted a shirt. The jacket came from a Matrix Switch figure; trimmed down so it would not go below her blouse. The hands were swapped out for the ones from the New 52 Mattel Wonder Woman, with most of the figure apart from the legs painted up. I looked for a Lois Lane press badge design online and found one someone had done on DeviantArt. I modified the photo on it, re-sized it, printed it out, laminated it and then glued the resulting tiny badge onto the figure. Thanks for looking as always and I hope you guys like this one!

Really nice Lois! Have you thought about a cloth skirt? It would add even more articulation!

Thanks for your comment Knightime, I really love your custom Batman work (that B:TAS piece is astounding). That's a great suggestion but I don't know how to sew! I reckon it would come in handy one day, but I did want to make use of the dress that was already on the Silk Spectre figure. The advice is much appreciated!

That's a great, innovative combo of parts, with really nicely done mods to them, and it all comes together to make a really great-looking piece. Solid craftsmanship all around, love the little badge.

Thank you! I wanted it to be recognisably "Lois" enough, and I thought a good way to achieve that would be to give her a little badge.
