Arkham Asylum Straightjacket Joker Custom Action Figure

Custom #:53833
Name:Arkham Asylum Straightjacket Joker
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Batman
Creator:LaughingFish
Date Added:September 20, 2013
Base Figure:Iron Maiden Eddie figure - Piece Of Mind by NECA
Height:5.50 inches
Completion Time:5.00 hours
As this was my first ever custom, I felt this would be a good start as very little needed to be done to the body. Aside from filling in the skin pockets from the Eddie figure, this was strictly a head sculpt.
I cut away parts of the mouth to give this figure that menacing smile. From there it was building a nose, filling the eye pockets with eyeballs and building the dreadlock like hair.
Overall I am very pleased with this custom, it sits proudly in my Joker collection and motivates me to try some more in depth customs in the future.
The largest improvement I would like moving forward will be my painting job as I feel this is where I lost some points. Still. Very pleased. I hope you enjoy it.

First, I would love to say welcome to the realm brother. I absolutley love this version of the Joker, hes my favorite villain in the DC Universe. I love the sculpt work and really love the paint job, its flawless brother. Great job for your first custom. P.s. I really want this in my collection so if you don't mind.... I'm gonna make this for myself.

Hey MC,
Thanks for the Kudos dude. The comments from everyone have been overwhelmingly positive and welcoming. I love it.
I don't mind at all if you're looking to undertake this custom as well. I look forward to seeing it. For the head sculpt, I'd recommend cutting off the floating neck brace to work on the hair until you get the hair finished and hardened. I didn't, so the back of his head has a few 'flattened' dreads. No big deal, but just thought I'd pass that on.
Also, the picture doesn't show it that well, but I painted his toes green. I've seen it done like that in certain comics and it was always a little detail I thought was neat. Something to consider.
Again, thanks for the comment. Good luck on your custom.

Hey bro, so sorry for the late reply. Its been really busy at work these past few weeks so I finally had and made time to check in on the realm. Thanks you so much for the go ahead bro as well as the tips for making this custom, so far I haven't been able to find this figure locally so I might have to try online, however can't wait to make this and add it to my collection and can't wait to see more of your work bud.

Very disturbing..but the execution is great..its a custom that keep you looking at it trying to analyze the demented mind of Joker..excellent

I think this is wild and imaginative and really fun. Great use of the piece of mind Eddie, and ends up a really cool little piece. Nice.

I like this a lot! It's very interesting looking and appropriately creepy! I think you did a very good job for this being your first custom and may be being too hard on yourself about the paint job. I like it! Well done and I hope you do continue making more customs!
