This guy has taken me an absolute age to finish, well one year and 5 months to be precise. Granted I've been through two house moves and a new born born baby in that time but still. He's been sitting in the graveyard patiently waiting his turn for completion and finally here he is. Jango Fett in that strange 8" scale that Bandai in all their wisdom decided to use for the ill fated Thundercats classic line. Now I always thought the Lion-O was good enough to stand alone but add Tygra and the two just look strange in a collection, like a line that's just waiting to be complete but never will be. Sooo Tygra went to the fodder box. Then one day whilst having a shower I'd eyed the mrs' Jango Fett bubble bath bottle, it had long since been used up so I didn't feel bad stealing it. I compared it to a few base bodies then out came Tygra...... perfect match!!. Anyhoo enough waffling, here's the recipe.
Base body = 2011 Bandai Thindercats classics Tygra, heavily re-sculpted on every part of the figure.
Armour, jetpack, belt and boots = Bubble bath Jango Fett, cut to fit and sculpted to blend. The armour on the upper thighs is all sculpted as is the butt armour.
Holsters and shoulder armour = Magic repair tape for clothing, hand stitched.
Guns = Bubble bath Jango Fett, shaved the hands off the handles and resculpted them with a metal nut inside.
Wires on arms = Headphone wire
Hands = Bandai Tygra re-sculpted with a magnet in each to hold his guns and keyrings.
Painted and sealed with Games workshop and Vallejo products
So much work went into this one but i'm more than pleased with the results. I did initially think about making him into Bobba but then I thought hey why not give Jango some love, he is after all the blue print for the entire clone army and after all no Jango... no Bobba. Hope you enjoy taking a peak, till next time..............
