After Mattel announced the cancellation of 2014 DCIE series that included 2 versions of Doomsday figure, I felt regret about not being able to see the long awaited figure released. Then just last week, I found out Mattel has decided to release only Containment Suit Doomsday in the next SDCC. Relinquishing a hope to see THE UNLEASHED VERSION, I decided to make my own doomsday that shares the same articulations and details to some degree with DCUC figures. The only base body that I could find compatible in terms of size and similar physical features was Marvel Select Avengers Hulk. Before I began putting things together, I had to research various images and old custom figures done by others as a reference.
My ideal Doomsday is a combination of classical appearance with a slight touch of Injustice version, especially on his facial expression and tusks on both shoulders, which I find him more aggressive and vicious. I knew from the start there would be a lot of time consuming labors required for sculpting and refining, but I finally got all done in a month. As a result, it turned out better than I expected. Here are the recipes:

Head: Marvel Select Ultimate Hulk [cut his jaw in half and reconstructed to plant the teeth]
Body: Marvel Select Avengers Hulk [shaved off big & little toes (Ouch!) to make his boots looking more slender in front]
Waist band: old neon bracelet found in fodder box
Head to toes including tusks and spikes all sculpted with Aves Apoxie Sculpt.

Hope you guys like it. Any comments and criticisms are welcome.

What would you charge to make another one
Batman55 - Saturday, November 23, 2013
Thank you for your inquiry. I was never asked to make a custom figure for someone else and I’m so flattered. Since I have a full-time job during weekdays and households to take care of at weekends, I could only put myself working on a limited amount of time. As for cost to make another one, I would need to buy all the recipes mentioned above again from overseas considering I’m currently residing in Asia where there aren’t too many specialty stores selling 6” action figures. Then there are labor costs for the time spent to sculpt and to paint. Lastly, special means to handle the shipping would cost fairly high taking the fact into consideration that sculpted portions break easily if there are lots of pointy parts. Let me know if all these terms are acceptable to you. Maybe then we could work things out.

I mean jeeeeeeeze! This is @#&$ing beautiful! Can you just make a few hundred of these so we can all have one?? Lol! Stellar work!
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
LOL I wish could if I had a license to mass produce. As matter of fact, friend of mine suggested me to make exactly the same for him using 3D printer but I'm not a professional customizer nor have extra time due to my daytime job. Thanks for the compliment.

Sweet stuff! I do prefer Doomsday to be more Superman sized myself, bu this turned out so freaking cool.
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
I was going to make it in a smaller scale to match up with Superman but I couldn't find the right base. Maybe next time....Thanks for the compliment.

Spectacular work!!! From the beautiful sculpt work to the choice of paints just a tremendous job.
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
Thank you. All the basic features were already there. I only added a few stuffs to make him look like Doomsday.
Cloud Strife - Friday, October 18, 2013
Best Doomsday that I've seen in action figure form. Well done.
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
Thank you for your kind words.
PackRatStudios - Friday, October 18, 2013
Spectacular sculpting on this! Besides the head and all those spikes, you really did a superb job on the feet,! Too many times when people sculpt feet on bigger figures, it makes them look like socks! Not yours! Awesome job!
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
I completely agree with you. Even if I have to exaggerate on feet, overall proportion has to work with the figure. Thank you for your compliment.
AREZ - Friday, October 18, 2013
HOLY SMOKES!!! This is such an AMAZING DOOMSDAY. IMO much BETTER than the one Mattel was going to release!

AvengerKiller - Friday, October 18, 2013
easily my favorite Doomsday custom. Great job and thank you for the update on the Mattel Doomsday. I'm not thrilled they cancelled it and now I'll have to watch out for SDCC 2014.
Batman55 - Friday, October 18, 2013
Thank you for the compliment. Be sure to look out for Mattel Doomsday.
