Basically I was really surprised that the only figure we got of Jor El was the horribly insufficient armor that contributed to his death. I had wanted to remedy this but didn't know which way to go with it. At first I dropped a cape on a stock Jor El and said... "it is good"... then after watching the movie a couple times this last week and realized it was way below par for catching this character up.

I took the torso and upper arms and head of course and grafted them with the legs and lower arms of a Superman figure that didn't need them anymore. The fabric for the robes is inserted front and back after being detailed with fine point sharpie. The cuffs were cut off of the arms so that the fabric could be attached inside the forearms. I drilled holes and sprewed them back together with the fabric in place after draping them over the shoulder pads. Though not completely accurate its far beyond what I was pretty proud of earlier this summer.

The uniform capsule is a Halo CryoPod(

Good fabric work here. Those Halo Cryo pods look all kinds of useful for custom purposes!
