It's been a while. Anyway, I was looking at my comic book Rick Grimes figure, while thinking about the new comic Governor figure and thought to myself "We need a more modern Rick figure" . The original Rick figure is cool, but it's based more off of the very first issues. So I picked up another Rick and started working. I wanted to base this look more off of what he was wearing on the way to Washington, mostly because I'm a huge fan of long haired, epic beard Rick. I first worked on his stance, I seriously could not stand that pose that he had. I used the dremel to shave and hollow out the extended leg until he was finally able to stand somewhat straight up. I removed his hat and sculpted him a forehead (WITH A WRINKLE! YEAH!) , along with hair and his beard. I removed the right hand and sculpted him a stump, with the "X" mark. I shaved down his shirt and resculpted it to look more like his lucky white T-shirt he loves with a passion. I also dremeled down the fur on his jacket to give it a kind of worn out look (and to fit better with the hair) and glued it to the jacket itself, because he has it laying somewhat flat now. I reversed his holster, and glued the hatchet loop to the back of his belt, because I still wanted it on the figure. One repaint later and there you have it! Thanks for lookin'!

Amazing,if only McFarlane could put as much effort into the comic figures as the show figures,This is really really amazing, hair especially looks phenomenal.

Thanks! I always love sculpting hair because there are literally endless options. Also, I think wave 2 of the comic wave is the best Walking Dead wave so far out of both the comic and tv figures. I so far only have Glenn and Governor, I think they look like they just stepped out of the comics, and they have that epic hasbro style ankle pivot! I have more comic figures planned. Hopefully I can get an extra Carl soon and make his latest comic look.

That'd be awesome,I hope they release a Negan soon,

Same. I can't stand Negan. But for some reason I like the character, too.

Lol,I hope that when he appears in the show, they don't censor him,& that Vinnie Jones should play him,what/who do you think?
Folsomaticustoms - Monday, December 2, 2013
Yeah, he would. There are a few I have in mind, actually. I just can't see the character watered down in the show. He is a HIGHLY inappropriate character.

Yea,as much as I love the shows Governor being interesting & more developed & phenomenal unlike his crazy comic counterpart,I hope they don't do that with Negan,Negan should just be straight up hilarious psycho that curses a hell of a lot (as seen in most recent issue). I hope they don't do anything to the hunters, they pretty much did have character in the books & it'd work great in the show,I hope they don't water down what happens to the hunters or maybe the show'll make the conclusion to the hunters better than the books because the shows really improving over the books as seen in the mid season finale, probably the best episode by far,too bad no compromise between Rick & The Governor,I liked both so much, but hell, what happened was way better than a compromise (entertainmentwise),was crazy, anyways I agree with you & I look forward to more of your work :]
