OH YES, it is here! I've notice no one has tackled the new Thor costume, why is that? well, I was walking around my local comic store and I always wanted to do the new Thor costume, but never had a good base... till I saw the Hobgoblin.. and I went to work! This was a very fun piece to do.. even though some things didn't work out in the beginning, I worked through it and it was fine... I was going to take the lower knees and legs of ML Thor from walmart.. but they pegs didn't fit right w/ hobby, so I just had to cut and attach using super glue and sculpty.. and I was going to use the thors head for this one too, but it didn't look right because it would of looked like he had no neck!, so I just made a new one using a Longshot head just ripped/cut off the top of his hair and made a helmet... and then from there.. it was a easy paint job and what not...
but that isnt the best part.... if anyone has noticed in the new comics.. thor actually puts his hammer on his back and it hangs out from the top... but its really weird because iunno how it actually stays there... but I wanted something to stand out in this custom. and I wanted to make that happen somehow... soooOOO. I placed a metal sheet one side of the hammer.. and placed two very little. yet strong magnets on his back.. and there, you can easily place his hammer! smart right? lol
other than that, I am VERY satisfied with this custom.. I hope it will be set as a example for further customizers to work off and see more of this new thor costume!
