Part two of six-Man I love Cable...Steve Rogers was a perfect base for this guy, even if it was a pain having to reassemble him. Anyways, his chest plate, front portion of the hair, shoulder guard and wrist piece are all sculpt. For his arm, I lightly applied some epoxie clay by wetting my finger then rubbing the clay in. After allowing it to dry for a bit, I took a razor blade to it. Cable's lightsaber is made using the broken half of a paint brush a random plastic tube and sculpt. The rest is repaint.
Captain Nathan's backstory differs greatly from that of 616's Cable. Instead of being sent into the far future, his father Cyclops entrusted young Nathan's care and recovery from the techno-organic virus to his father Corsair and his space faring allies the StarJammers. Young Nathan was raised in the far reaches of outer space, serving as a stalwart member of the StarJammers until his path soon crossed with that of the Star Lord Peter Quill. The two men soon hit it off and Nathan parted ways with his grandfather to serve with the Guardians of the Galaxy. It was during the Annihilation War that Nathan was made captain of his own ship The Phoenix, a gift from Peter after he 'rescued' it from the Spartoi. During a botched rescue mission that soon found Nathan's entire crew slaughtered by the Annihilating horde, Nathan was spared by a mysterious figure who warned him of a dawning apocalypse and of the team he would lead against this evil. It was not long after that a bright light appeared on the Phoenix's deck, leaving behind a young blue skinned woman with claws.
