Catwoman Custom Action Figure

Custom #:5834
Name:Catwoman
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:Buzzy_Fret
Date Added:January 23, 2008
Base Figure:ML Wasp & Hush Catwoman
Height:6.00 inches
Catwoman AKA Selina Kyle - per Frank Miller's Batman: Year One - is a Dominatrix for Hire that decides a career change is in order when she hears about the new vigilante in Gotham City - The Batman! Sister starts doing it for herself in tights, claws and kitty ears! Armed with her whip she starts sticking it to the man where it really hurts - in the wallet! Of course it's not long before her cat-burglarin' draws the attention of Gotham's Dark Knight. Nowadays Catwoman plays many roles in Batman's life as nemesis, friend and lover.

When I saw the beautiful face on the Hush Series Catwoman I knew I would have to make a customout of her with some articulation!

Recipe >
ML Wasp body
Hush Catwoman Head, Neck, Goggles & Hands
RexLace for Belt
Fixit Sculpt for filling in around the neck and wing holes in back. Also used Fixit to make the zipper, belt buckle, boot straps & buckles
Whip from DCSH Catwoman

I decided to use the neck from the HushCW because the Wasp neck, like most MLs, has that unappealing head thrust forward action. Another plus was that I didn't have to drill out the HCW head to accomodate the Wasp's neck peg. That was the 2nd hardest task in making this custom. The hardest thing was getting the Wasp wings off - had to crack open the upper torso to do it right.

After I got her all assembled I painted her with Citadel Black which has a nice soft black leather look to it. Silver bits are in Citadel Mithril Silver. The face is the original HCW face - why fix it if it ain't broke?

If I was going to do this again I would swap out the feet with a pair that don't have high heels - they're sexy but probably not good for cat-burglaring.

I agree with Maelstrom. If the mass produced version looked even close to yours...they wouldn't be able to keep the shelves stocked. Outstanding job.

Very nice work Buzz! This looks like a very professional job! This is just the kind of Catwoman that should be mass produced and made available to the public.

thanx caramel but I didn't do anything to the face - that's the original Hush CW face - it wasn't broke, so why fix it.

What I find sad about Miller's work is that every single woman seems to be a wh@re at one point or another!
Awesome use of a horrible body.
