Ever since the 1st time I saw the New Marvel Legends Beetle figure a thought always crosses my mind "that frigging Iron Man" (maybe I'm old school , but for me Beetle is suppose to be green and purple) , so as soon I got a second figure I had two options make a color accurate Beetle or an Iron Man (standard or Marvel Now) simple right? (WRONG!!) went for IM and thing got messy from there , painted all silver parts golden and all the orbs in his body green , so far OK , went and painted the original head , and messed up BAD! (due to diabetic nerve pain , it's sometimes very hard to do precise painting) but I didn't give up , just needed a regular Iron Man head and done, right? (WRONG AGAIN!!, the only one I had was too small and the other one fitted nice but was a stealth one , so back paint again (gold helmet and green face plate) look nice and then I went weird , found a WWII Captain America alternate Steve Rogers head , try it and to my surprise it fitted perfectly , how can something as simple as a head sap became so complicated, it's mindboggling! , anyhow here is theend result (for now) not completely satisfied with this one , will probably upgraded later with better parts , check out and be gentle guys , not my best work, Thanks!

Perseverance for the win!I sometimes get hypoglycemic and my hands shake when I paint so I can somewhat relate with you. You didn't give up and now you have a groovy custom, good work bud!

Looks great! Sometimes an unusual choice of heads makes more sense than trying to force something that does not work. Iron Steve made me feel a whole lot better after a rough day, I look forward to seeing your action figures very much.

Necessity is the mother of all invention, thus meaning you created something pretty awesome out of stuff going wrong. I am a HUGE fan of the Thunderbolts comics so I happen to remember all the "mach versions" Beetle had back then so I can't wait to see the next version of this armor.

I LOVE this figure he actually inspired me to come up with a little story for your character (hope Im not overstepping my boundaries lol)

"Little Steve Rogers was always the smallest guy, the nerd but also the smartes. One day he goes to try to join the US army but do to his small stature he is turned away. Crushed and feeling down he remembers his first love...his first friends. His bug collection from when he was young! While trying to recapture the joy he felt as a boy collecting bugs and studying them he is inspired! He uses his intelligence and combines it with his favorite of all the insects to create a suit of armor and serve his country as THE IRON BEETLE!"
yeah my story needed work but I thought of it in 5 minutes haha

THANK YOU BROTHER FOR THAT AWESOME BACKSTORY! , Everyone who knows my work is aware of my huge backstories and I was so preoccupied with the all trouble I had with this guy that totally forgot to give him one (for the record , I too make them on the spot bro) , I gotta say I LOVE IT! and that you took the time to come witch it , I really feel honored , I wasn't very happy with this custom , but now he's becoming one of my favorites , and your right there're so many variations of him from his days in Thunderbolts that I guess is OK , again Thanks and God Bless Brother for everything!!

It's funny, because I was actually planning on turning my Beetle fig into my personal take on Iron Spider, since it already had holes in the back, and looked...like you said...like something made by Tony Stark.

Go for it man, he would definitively be an Awesome Iron Spider too , that's the true funny thing about him he has potential to be so many other characters , except Beetle!
