Hi everyone,
wrestling was one of my favorite thing I liked to watch when I was a kid. I instantly was drawn to do a custom for this contest. So I decided to do one of the most Iconic wrestlers in video games history..USSR russian Street Fighter 2 powerhouse Zangief in his Marvel VS Capcom form. This beast of a man trained and perfected his skills by wrestling wild bears in the old Soviet Union Siberia. The cold war has been over for 20+ years, but I do missed those days of USA VS USSR, Freedom of speech vs Communism, Rocky Balboa vs Ivan Drago and my nuclear warheads are bigger than
Street Fighter Zangief symbolized what old mother russia was all about. Big, strong, disciplined with a intimidating presence.
Here what I did to put this wrestling comrad together.
Sota Toys made a Zangief figure years ago, but let face it. It sucked!! He was too narrow, fragile and the quality of the figure was poor. Here my version..I took 3 ML Hulks and combined them..Planet Hulk torso with a sanded down taper waist, then I attached it with End Hulk legs. Sculpted over his scars and added bigger sculpted legs muscles. Next I cut the feet off and attached Skaar boots and sculpted laces and boots lining. Then I did sculpt work on body hair, waist belt & wrist wraps and all his keloids bear scars he has all over his muscular frame. For Zangief head I used MOTU Count Marzo, removed his hair to sculpt a mohawk and full beard. Finally painted him in his famous Street Fighter 2 colors and he was done.
Hope you like this Bigger, Badder and Beastly looking Zangief!!
Im looking forward to seeing all the other entries and good luck to everyone
thanks for watching :)

Before I made my own Zangief this page was one of the places (along with Google Image and my copy of Street Fighter 4) that I went to for reference material and inspiration! Awesome work dude!

Thank you onewingedcrow..I never tought another Zangief custom was going be made after this one, but I was pleasantly suprised to see one & the phenomenal work you did on yours. It's ironic that both of our Zangiefs came in 4th in contests. Its the bond that these two awesome customs share
