I am always curious which figure was a person's first figure.
Hankhill420 - Wednesday, April 9, 2014
What was yours?
D&DCUSTOMS - Wednesday, April 9, 2014
I have been trying to remember. It was one of the original green guys I think like ZAP or Baroness or Firefly. Got snow job after.
It actually might be ZAP. There was a store on broadway next to radioshack on 99th/100th street at the time where they had them hanging for sale. I remember paying 17 for Storm Shadow on card and it took every penny I had and that was marked up by double I think. Got the thunder machine from that same store. Ah the memories.

I first saw that destro at slackers and had to have it and spent a weeks worth of food money to get it

Did you get the original 1988 version who came with the despoiler vehicle or the rerelease version on card?
Hankhill420 - Thursday, April 10, 2014
It was the rerelease. I loved the articulation
D&DCUSTOMS - Thursday, April 10, 2014
The rerelease is a beautiful fig. I will post a pic of a side by side

You really had a game plan on the bases to use on these Gi joe figures..awesome work
D&DCUSTOMS - Tuesday, April 8, 2014
It was a lotttttt of planning before anything was done. Made three versions of some in different bases sometimes depending on the character because I couldnt settle.

This is very good! Great custom using a Sinister base.
D&DCUSTOMS - Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Sinister just seems made to be Destro and a few other characters as well.
Nits - Monday, April 7, 2014
now that is SERIOUSLY cool
D&DCUSTOMS - Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Thanks. Always liked the storyboard where Destro had his own army and plotted against Cobra Commander
En-Ryu-Oh!2061 - Monday, April 7, 2014
Cool man! , I have always like Destro as a better head of Cobra than the Commander , this custom looks Awesome dude , Great Work!!!
D&DCUSTOMS - Tuesday, April 8, 2014
He always seemed more strategic but Cobra Commander was a better emotional fool
