When I saw that this contest allowed a character that used a magical weapon I did my best to finish this custom. Thor has been on my workplace for almost a year, at first he was supposed to be a simple arm swap but it became much more involved. I really liked the ROML Thor figure but a few things were off and I wanted it to look more like the Thor in the second season of Earth's Greatest Heroes cartoon. Also this custom is heavily influenced by the version made by Raybot ( Where are at brother?, your work is sorely missed)

First his helmet looked really off. To me his undersized helmet with the small wings looked elvish. So when I found the wings of the Revoltech Pocco figure I thought it looked perfect. Adding the Terrax arms is a genius idea I think Boskoes did it first so the credit goest to her. But I had a major problem with joint rub on the arms and had to sand and use the super glue method to alleviate the problem as much as I could. I hated the skirt thing he had, it looked way to frilly for the God of Thunder, so I cut out a piece from a cape to mimic the MS Thor version. I also added his buckle from a He-man figure because the one he came with was way to plain. Last change I made was to the footed boot. It was way to flat and had no ankle rockers. So I subbed ML Hercules boots and added a revoltech joint to give it more freedom of movement.

When it came time to paint, I broke out the airbrush. I am trying to commit to not being so lazy and airbrushing more. Air brushing the cape really worked out well, I think I will be only airbrushing capes from now on. The only other part I airbrushed was the arms and it looked pretty good to me. I hand painted the rest of the figure.

Thanks for viewing and good luck to all Participants!!!
