Could swear these two were meant for each other! The Venom symbiote has occupied many fun characters in the past, but mixing in the Spawn dude is like a match made in hell. With the first custom version, Spawn got majorly manhandled by Venom. This is the aftermath of that battle, with Venom clearly the victor of that match and in full possession of Spawn. The cape was crucial for this figure and a lot of minor sculpting was needed to bring it all together. There were pieces taken from several different Spawn capes, in addition to using the cape from a Hellina figure and wings from a Mcfarlane Raenis. The cape is firmly sculpted to the back and really helped to define the Spawn presence, giving this new look for Venom.
The lower part is from a Medieval Spawn III, and the disproportionate design with the upper torso being bigger gives an effect like Venom is bursting out. The right hand is from an Art Asylum Borg, attached to a Shadow Guardian figure. The SG figure has great muscle sculpt and is totally an underrated/under used base figure. But there was a big size difference between the Shadow Guardian and the lower half of the Medieval Spawn, so just the mid-section of a Spawn Vandalizer figure was used to bridge the two parts. Even though it is now mostly Venom, there is a lot of Spawn parts thrown in. Resculpted the head into Venom's likeness and added an extra talon to his left hand. The tongue is actually the tail of a toyBiz 2099 Shadow Dancer figure and borrowed the shoulder pads/buckle/wrist shackle from a Medieval Spawn II, not III. Chains were hardened with superGlue and attached. Sprayed the entire thing with matte black acrylic, and detailed with gloss black veins.
With so many awesome Venom customs out there, may this one find its niche here in the Realm. This is an original design made as fan interest, thanks for looking!
