This is my first custom, the first of many to come. I've always wanted to complete the MvC2 set that I've been putting together for the past 5 years, but knew that some figures would just never get made; I decided to start with Strider. I used a Raiden (MGS 2) base, then dremelled and sanded the entire figure. I took the satchel belt from a Ms. Swan (PotC) figure and fashioned the shoulder pads and arm straps from it and some zip-ties and plastic. The belt came from a Silver Centurian Ironman figure, and the sword was fashioned from an energy blast accessory that I found and the nozzle from a WD-40 can; the sash and scarf are made from wire ribbon Some epoxy and Craft Porcelain for the gi and Tamiya/Vallejo paint later, and here we are! I've imagined doing this for a long time, and this site, as well as those of you who submit to it, have inspired me to just go for it. I'm using the unlockable artwork direct from the game, and so I have Jill Valentine, Silver Samurai, Anakaris, and Marrow coming soon. Any and all comments are welcome so that I can continue to make better and better customs. Thanks!
I love it. Your Strider Hiryuu is super cool. Look like you work real hard on him and it paid off. The paint job is awesome for sure. The hair is sweet.
Ohhhhhhhhhh yeah, You should do more customs but that's up to you and the free time you have. Try something that you want to do.
Kyle, Strider is so underrated. I love playing him in marvel vs capcom 1&2 . I can't wait to see your version. I bet it's going to be super cool like all your great customs.
Keep up the great work folks.
Take Care everyone
Bye :-)
