So, many moons ago I happened into my local KB toys outlet (can't swing a dead cat here in Maine without hitting a retail outlet)and found they had a mess of BBi cycom figures for fifteen dollars a piece. They had several cyber ninjas and two colossus enforcer figures. If you know the figures I mean you know that A) they are impossible to find and B) they are expensive as all get out on a website. Thus, I bought as many as I could and went home. Point of the story is this, The colossus figure came with this floor length fitted black leather trench coat...a thing of beauty, and as many customs as I worked on from then on out, I couldn't bare to part with the things. I finally used one for a WWII era red skull that I will post some time later, but the other one vexed me, and I felt myself thinking "Who knows? Maybe it will come to me." Well, it turns out The SHADOW knows, as it was on that night and I quickly set to work. Besides the immaculate coat, he has a Power team elite body, a dragon head, an original Captain Harlock cape (I got a Harlock figure with a 70's joe body in Canada in the early eighties when I was a little kid...never seen another one) a hand sewn two pistol shoulder holster rig, shoes and socks from a Joe Marine, a hat from Micheals and two generic 45. pistols. I painted his pupils gold and coated them with luminol, so you get these two bright glowing pinpricks in the dark and grafted a red jewel to one finger for his signature Russian ring. One of my favorite examples of my own work.
