This is essentially my ideal costume for Gambit. I tried to use Doc Ock's coat from his most recent Hasbro figure. I modified the collar a bit to allow his face more room to show off. I also tried to putty over the holes in the back of the jacket, but to no avail. I painted the blue metallic parts of his costume silver. I tried using Testor's model paint for his coat, but I could not for the life of me get it to dry!!! It was also INCREDIBLY shiny and looked tacky. So I ended up using regular Acrylic paint. I'm not completely happy with the coat's paint job since acrylic paint has a tendency to clump up. I'm happy with all colors, though. I liked Gambit in a crimson coat.
He's only my second custom, so ANY advice on how to properly use Testor's model paint so that it doesn't A) look shiny and B) dry!, would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for looking.
