Grifter Custom Action Figure

Custom #:852
Name:Grifter
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Wildcats
Creator:VariablePenguin
Date Added:July 24, 2006
Base Figure:Punisher
Height:6.00 inches
This figure is my pride and joy. I carved off the skull from Punisher and custom scuplted the new belt. I made the bandolier from Foamy strips and the pockets and holster from a belt from Bullseye. I made a magnetic joint using a ball bearing and magnets in Grifter's head. I custom painted every last detail including repainting the head so it looked less cartoonish. I went so far as to sew a jacket for him using a pattern I drew base on the Gambit jacket. Finally, I slapped a WildCATs base on to him!

I went and took a better picture of Cole.

I will be making Maul and Voodoo and Jacob Marlowe, I just haven't gotten base figures yet. I'm bidding on one for Maul and wait for Voodoo.
I will probably also make Helspont, Pike, the Troika and maybe some other villians if I can find good bodies.

Bro those have to be the best Wild Cat's customs ever. Grifter is the best and I can't wait to see the rest of them. Are you going to make Maul? because you should, it will turn out great just by the way the others look. I want them all!!!

Great job!! Best custom of Grifter I have seen so far & can't wait to see the others. If I can suggest if u are going to do Hellspont try using Mr. Sinster body and Blackheart head & hands or using the originals Hellspont head. Again very nice custom!!

What do you mean "interesting"? She'll have a pony tail, I just haven't attached it yet if that's what you mean.

Heh, Zealot's hair is...interesting
Love this stuff!

Oh I will make a Lord Helspont. I will...
Just as soon as I make the team. Or maybe while I'm making them, just need to find a good figure.

Nicely Done! To hell with the new Wildcats make mine old school. You need to make him a Lord Helspont to go up against.

Okay here's the repaint on his hair
I added a wash of brown mixed with orange and I dry brushed brighter yellow.
And as a bonus: here's the rest of the CATS I got in the works.
*Zealot is silver because I am going to go over it in clear red paint so she looks metallic
I also am working on a battle damaged head for spartan to have.

Well, if you ever get the hankering to change his hair completely, there's an old gambit (I think it had the light-up feature with his cards) with pretty cool hair that I think would look good. It's already brown too so all you'd have to do is drybrush it yellow

I noticed that I've actually done some more work on painting him recently as compared to those pictures. His hair is darker now. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Pham! Pham! That is some old-school goodness. Nice brown on the pants, not to mention sewing!

Holy crud that's nice, you can't beat an original! @_@ I would never sell that...
If only I could paint as well as that...the detail is great! I might even try it but I don't have the guts to meddle with my Punishers, heh, then I wouldn't be able to make my comics which are so conveniently placed .
