Hey gang. First I must mention that being from South Africa, finding Marvel Legends, is like finding teeth on a chicken. Thus said, I used a Maestro as the base figure. I wanted a Juggernaut for my X-men collection, but couldn't find one anywhere in SA. So I decided to sacrifice Maestro. Poor Hulky :O) Okay, I wanted my Juggernaut to be massive and bulky, looking very powerful and slightly worn through his many feuds with the X-men, so here is my first ever custom action figure. I give you......Juggernaut
Maestro body with head removed. Sid Vicous wrestler's head took the place of Maestro's. Sculpy, Aves, and all those nice goodies don't exist here where I live, so I had to improvize. I sculpted the wrist bands, fist cuffs, shoulder bands, boot cuffs and helmet entirely from Jovi modelling paste. Probably very old school, but it did the trick :o)
Gave Juggy a nice black base coat, using Dala's range of black craft paint. Dry brushed a few layers Dala's red oxide onto the boots, and Dala's umber on the rest. Flesh obviously was used for the arms and hands.
Because I wanted the bulky look, I didn't do any sanding or further smoothing on the sculpted parts. Getting the right look for the helmet was my biggest headache on this custom. Sadly I don't know how to make a removable helmet yet, so any suggestions are more than welcome.
