When I first saw the surfer figure, a whole bunch of things popped into my head: The thing is basically a customizers dream - a well muscled body with no detail whatsoever...but the head screamed Destro. I painted the chest area fleshtone and glued a piece of plastic around the base of the neck to give that riveted ridge look his mask has. Then the eyes went lime green and the whole head got a gunmetal wash. I was always fond of the 90's 12" Destro, He had a removable mask and an accurate costume...though I find it hard to take villainous weapons dealers seriously when they have their name stamped dramatically on their belt buckle. I took the outfit from one of these figures and re-tailored it to fit the surfer, added some calvary boots and 12" Jackman wolverine hands and that was basically it. As a nod to the original Destro figure, I gave him a briefcase filled with weapons, electronics and a image screen of Cobra Commander. Dying to see what Eccleston does with this in the movie.
