Following his ignomious defeat by Bulkhead,Soundwave lay in stasis until a fragment of the Allspark struck him and reformatted him into a black version of his original Decepticon body.Now armed with even more sophisticated sonic weapons along with two drones who transform in guitars;he is no longer Soundwave,but....Soundblaster.
Origin of the idea:Soundblaster was an upgraded form of G1 Soundwave during Transformers Headmasters.
