In feudal era Japan, Itto Ogami was the elite executioner for the Shogun until the ruthless Yagyu clan framed him in an attempt to gain the position. His name dishonored and his wife murdered, Itto and his infant son Daigoro wandered Japan as assassin for hire Lone Wolf and Cub. Ultimately, through hell and back, Itto Ogami strived for revenge against the entire Yagyu clan.
This manga, created by Kazuo Koike became a comic book cult sensation when Frank Miller introduced it to the North American audience. The character Itto Ogami (Lone Wolf) is basically his universe's version of the Punisher, but with a kid and a torso splitting sword known as dotanuki. Each episode, like tales of folklore, would explore the human condition, while giving a glimpse of the lifestyle and tradition of the samurai code. The stark black&white drawings by master artist Goseki Kojima vividly brought the characters to life and captured the nuances of all that is samurai.
Completely resculpted the face on the base figure, removing as much of John Belushi as possible lol. Cut tiny strands of hair from an elastic band, glued them on, sculpted over. Used a Adrenalynn figure as base for Daigoro, modifying the arms and borrowed the feet from a Hush Poison Ivy. Resculpted the head, and painted father&son B+W like the way they appeared in the manga, walking thru the fires of meifumado. The baby cart was built upon a toy train box-car, using plastic from clamshell and stir-sticks. It's big enough to carry additional weapons, and there's a hole near the bottom of the cart to conceal a spear. This badass ronin is number 6 on our roster of renegades.
Thanks for including him in the Realm.
